Jacie Hachem, Senior Director, Office of Corporate Secretary at Health Care Service Corporation, is being recognized by Diligent's Modern Governance 100 program. The Modern Governance 100 is a community of governance professionals who have been nominated for their innovation, resilience, dedication and empathy in the face of a complex and ever-changing world.
Jacie Hachem's analytical and logistical skills are just some of the elements that make her an integral member of the Health Care Service Corporation team. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hachem worked tirelessly to ensure the board had everything it needed to run its first virtual meeting successfully. As nominator Deondra Cephus, Senior Paralegal at Health Care Service Corporation, explains: ''Jacie worked for hours on the logistics, analyzed every scenario possible, worked with IT, meeting participants, individual board members and Diligent reps to introduce new products, test and retest many different options to ensure the board meetings were without flaw.''
This level of attentiveness and dedication has been a consistency in Hachem's career thus far, but her efforts strengthened still in response to the virtual work environment. ''She has always been a great asset to the Board Support Team,'' says Cephus, ''but since we've been working remotely, I've seen her skills develop more than I could imagine.''
In addition to providing far-reaching support for the board, Hachem is just as much of an asset to her colleagues outside of the boardroom. ''She's been a great inspiration and mentor to me, and I've learned so much about Diligent and a higher level of process and procedure support and development [from her],'' Cephus remarks.
