VANCOUVER, BC – June 5, 2018 – Vancouver technology company, ACL, has been announced by the BC Tech Association (BC Tech) as Company of the Year in their 2018 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs). The TIAs, now in their 25th year, celebrate excellence and innovation in BC’s tech sector.
ACL has been a cornerstone in Vancouver’s tech landscape over the past 30 years, a time in which they have grown to over 7,000 customers in 140 countries, from their BC headquarters. Their commitment to sustaining their Vancouver presence was renewed in 2011, when they brought Laurie Schultz on board as CEO. Under her leadership, ACL adopted a “re-startup” mentality, culminating in a $50M strategic minority investment from Norwest Venture Partners in 2017.

The TIAs also recognized the significance of ACL’s work to stamp out fraud. Its cloud-based, data-driven GRC solution enables customers to aggregate, prioritize and mitigate multiple and diverse risks. In doing so, it’s helped identify healthcare providers that have poisoned patients with unnecessary procedures, unveil illicit transactions that have been linked to funding terrorism and reveal materials in supply chains that have originated from conflict zones that abuse child labour.
