Diligent's Tech Specs
The configuration specs outlined in this guide are a reference on the minimum technology requirements to run Diligent Boards on all devices. Since Diligent is an Application Service Provider (ASP), minimal IT support will be needed for implementation. The configuration specs below may vary based on method of access and user role, and are based off minimum requirements.
Diligent Boards Access Diligent Boards is accessible through any standard web browser, for both Administrative functions and read-only functions for Board or Executive members. Diligent Boards also has native applications for Windows computers (OneClick), Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Devices, as well as iPad, iPhone, macOS and Android. If Mac administrator users require Diligent Boards OneClick they must install Windows Virtualization software to run Diligent Boards OneClick via a Windows virtual machine. Customers must ensure their firewalls and proxies permit access to the Diligent-owned URLS / IP Addresses (currently *.boardbooks.com, *.diligentboards.com, *.diligentcloudservices.com, and *.diligentmessenger.com) through TCP/IP Port 443.
User Role Considerations Administrative users have read and write access to make site changes; this requires using Diligent Boards OneClick or Diligent Web Admin. Unlike read-only users such as Board or Executive members, the Diligent Boards Admin Client will use more CPU resources to complete tasks, especially if running Windows virtually on a Mac. Board or Executive members who use Diligent Boards OneClick in offline mode will use additional CPU resources as well.
